Those study habits can really stick! I did the same for physics, I knew I was going to drop it after unit 1, but I ended up studying for it when I didn't need it..... Life if weird like that.
Really? Thanks for the advice. I was really considering whether I should continue wasting time studying Bio or if I should start studying my next year subjects (particularly History 3/4)
What made you choose history? And specifically that history? I do think the revolutions is the most interesting out of the bunch, I mean no offence to our own history, but it's just colonisation, a few interesting moments, and wars that we didn't do a whole bunch in I mean we had a war with emu's...... Ancient history does look cool, but if I did a humanities subject I might have done classical studies. I love mythology especial roman and greek.
So the subjects that I narrowed down to were Psych, Global Politics, Philosophy and Rev. I think I've already said this a few times (sorry if I'm just repeating myself haha) but Psych seemed too sciency and I don't want to take a risk. Global Politics was interesting. It's a topic I really enjoy discussing with my friends. However, I had a look at the actual VCAA exams and I was like nah. Philosophy was basically the same.
For Rev, we have a really good teacher. I picked Rev out of all the History subjects because it's the only one (I believe) which runs at out school. Ancient History 3/4 is a possibility but it usually doesn't run due to a lack of interest. Classical studies sounds cool. I find mythology really interesting and creative as well
Ancient history is really interesting, particularly the Chinese dynasties, empresses and so on. I might've considered it if it had a higher chance of running.
Can't relate to the height problem.... For some reason I was always quite tall, and no one can really armrest me as I am 174cm
Hahaha lucky! Guess I will have to forever look up to you (literally)
It's great that Macrob is like that, it's nice to see!
Good luck with exams!
Yeah, I think the acceptance is nice as well. Of course, it's not perfect but it is notably far better than other schools.
Also, thank you and good luck to you too! You will do amazing : ))
I can relate, at the moment I'm struggling to motivate myself for my subjects that I'm not doing next year (which is most of them.)
Ahh, it feels horrible. I know this is weird but one thing which helps me motivate myself to study is by cleaning my desk. But I need motivation for that too so...
Wow, great job! That's great considering you've only being doing it for a year!
Thank you! I feel like I haven't studied enough but I guess that's because I need to divide my time for other subjects as well
Oof, I know what it feels like to be short, I was always the shortest kid in primary school, especially since I was the youngest in my year level, and I was 4'11" at the start of year 7. I'm 5'10" now lol but it's weird, I still think of myself as a short sort of person. bit off topic there sorry.
Hahaha, not off topic at all. I'm sooo jealous, when will my growth spurt come
Jk, that's awesome (and actually the biggest growth spurt I've ever heard of) but don't armrest the shorter people around you XD
That's nice to hear about Macrob. In my experience I think that girls' schools are generally better with that sort of thing that boys' schools.
Yes, for sure. I heard mhs has a bit of a homophobic environment (but I might be completely wrong)
I think it might be because a lot of guys say "that's gay" whereas the majority of girls I met are quite against that (of course there are guys against it and girls who do use it a lot, it's just more common that way)
Regardless, I'm still not too sure why the LGBTQ+ community is more accepted in girl's schools
