99.90 + Raw 50 English and Methods Tutoring 2021

Hey guys,

I graduated in 2020 with an ATAR of 99.90 (Dux of my school)

I’ll be offering tutoring in English [Raw 50] and Methods [Raw 46] this year either at the Springvale Library or the State Library in the CBD.

English [Texts: Selected Poems by Seamus Heaney, 7 stages of grieving and The Longest Memory]
Section 1 (text response): 20/20
Section 2 (comparative): 20/20
Section 3 (argument analysis): 19/20

- This is only the second year that Heaney’s poetry will be taught so finding guides online is a struggle (last year was worse). I’ll be able to provide you with comprehensive notes on poetic techniques, essay structure, and major themes along with essay examples that earned me full marks in the SACs.
- The comparative is one of the most difficult SACs so I’ll help you in conducting in-depth analysis of all the themes and characters. I did a lot of extra work outside of class so I’ll be able to share with you all my notes and Powerpoints.
- The Argument Analysis was my most hated section but through several techniques I developed, I was able to formulise a precise essay structure that allowed me to produce brilliant essays in timed conditions no matter what the article.

Methods
- I started Methods 1/2 in Year 11 absolutely dreading it. Math was never my favourite, and I had been told repeatedly that it was a difficult subject. However, through the 2 years of completing the subject, I developed several learning strategies that helped me to not only ace my Exam 1 but enjoy the content (making me want to study it more).
- I can help you with foundational concepts that are needed to succeed in Methods, exam prep advice, helpful CAS shortcuts, and overall tips and tricks that allowed me to score so well with minimal prep (work smart not hard guys!)

*I has ranked 3rd in my cohort for Specialist Maths so I can help you with Spec questions as well if you are doing both :)

Accepting both individuals and groups of 2-3!
