HSC ATAR :(

Hey guys!

I have gotten my Trial marks back but they're much lower than I expected them to be. Also, my internal ranks for all my subjects are average to below average where my school is ranked in the top 20's. Can someone give me hope that I can do well in my HSC because I don't think it's possible anymore to get the ATAR I wanted.

Omg if your school is ranked in the top 29s that suggests you have a really good cohort. Meaning as long as you perform decently  in the HSC, you’re likely to be boosted  up

Hey! Agree with above, if you are in a strong cohort even a less than average rank probably won't matter much as long as you do really well in the HSC exam yourself!!

Here is a guide on scaling and moderation, if you are interested ;D
