Title: Ancient History rank
Post by: hannahle22 on December 20, 2019, 01:37:22 am
I have just gotten my ancient history exam back and I came last out of 35 people. I knew I would get a bad result because I completely blanked out during the exam. Everyone tried to tell me that i would do well and that i was overthinking it bc i came first in ancient history for yr11 lmfao. I’m so disappointed in myself and i’m the teachers are too and i’m worried that my atar will be screwed. So i’m asking is it possible to get in the top 10 if i do well on the other internal tasks ? or will my atar be screwed 😭 JSJS i cant stop thinking about it

Mod edit: Changed thread title

Hi!

One bad result isn't going to screw up the rest of your marks or your ATAR! You still have 3 (?) more assessments and that is plenty of time to improve your marks :-) At the end of the day, this one assessment isn't going to break your ATAR.

Best of luck!

Don't worry :) It happens to the best of us and you still have plenty of time to catch back up.

I came 41st in my first Bio task but I ended up coming fifth internally and receiving the equal second best mark in the HSC at my school (even though after the first task I thought that I wouldn't be able to get a Band 6!!). You still have many assessments to go and your year 11 rank shows that you can still do super well!!
