Literature exams coming up and it's quite daunting haha
so the question is, what's the approximate SS I would get for literature, given a strong-average cohort, with my ranking being in the exact middle around 24 students
GA1 72%
GA2 70%
GA3~75% Hopefully

Thanks in advance!  :D

Hi,
Sorry, just wondering if someone could quickly give me a prediction for my further and bio study scores?

BIO:
Unit 3 SAC average: 88%
Unit 4 SAC average: 86%
Exam: Probably about 90-95/120
I am probably in the top 10-20 out of about 60 students.

FURTHER
SAC average: 97%
Exam 1: 37/40
Exam 2: probably about 53-56/60
I am probably ranked somewhere in the top 10 out of about 120 students.

Thank you! Any idea's would be greatly appreciated.  :)

Biology - mid- high 30's to a 40 depending on how the state found the exam

If you pull an exam score like that, then I wouldn't be surprised if you get around a 45

Hey guys, quick question about Methods weighting. Let's say:
Student A gets 30/40 for Exam 1 and 60/80 for Exam 2.
Student B gets 29/40 for Exam 1 and 61/80 for Exam 2.

So Exam 1 contributes 22% towards the study score, and Exam 2 44% (double that of Exam 1). Exam 2 also has double the number of marks of Exam 1.

Does this mean that the scores are added up together out of 120, and Student A and Student B would receive the exact same study score, because they both got 90/120? Or, because Exam 2 has a higher weighting, would Student B receive a (marginally) higher study score because they performed (marginally) better on Exam 2? Or is it something else entirely?

Sorry if this is a confusing question, and thanks in advance!

Due to the heavier weighting of exam 2, student B should theoretically get the higher SS.

Exam 1 and Exam 2 are scored separately and standerdised to a Z score each separately. I can't say for sure which student will score higher since this Z-score will be dependent on how the state goes on the exam.

Generally it's better to score high in exam 2 as less people do well on it generally however - this year most people would say exam 1 was much harder so it could be exam 1 this year.
