Well, I mean, the acid will eventually give you tooth decay :P

Lemon is actually quite high in Vitamin C, more so than oranges I believe :) Plus, dietary fibre.

And I think also the thing is, if people put lemon in their water, they're less likely to drink things such as soft drink, which is good for their health.

I'm aiming for an ATAR over 94 so i can double either Commerce or Economics with something that doesn't involve essay writing - maybe Science?
Not too confident, but hoping that EAS bonus points will save me.  ::)
Sorry to break it to you, buddy, but basically all degrees will include some form of essay.

25/8/17 - Friday
Since my business trials last Monday, I've been stressing over my belief that I did crap overall. I've always been pedantic about business because it's the only subject that I always get 90's in. So today the whole school had a fundraising event and didn't have class (we walked 15km around Penrith, got a blister ouch). I spoke to my teacher about the trial exam and told him that I did bad. Coincidentally, he was holding the exam papers at that exact moment and showed my marks for the first two section... 25/26. I was so relieved about this because I knew that I would have done poorly in the two reports, but the short answer was really well done, so I'm not too screwed. :)
Quick! Someone post a meme about motivation here for MisterNeo. Bonus points to the person who can find a meme about motivation using business puns.

A lot of science/engineering degrees will have reports which are infinitely better than essays

Loving the updates! Keep them coming, and keep working hard my friend, sounds like great results so far

Also, something quite controversial.

I hate weekends, and can't wait for Mondays.
Idk why, I just do.  :P

very tempted to give this post my first ever downvote. weekends are an absolute blessing, what is it you don't like about them?

Tbh, I just miss school because it gets super boring on weekends, except on Saturday when I have tutoring.
The anticipation of school also adds to the excitement for Mondays.  :-\

ah, fair enough. if you're bored, tv shows are the way to go! they're a good motivator to do work, because you use an episode as a reward for completing work (sometimes... because you do get carried away watching them, there's no avoiding that). i have heaps of recommendations, but right now, i'm watching suits which is a really great show. there's a lot of business and legal terminology thrown around, and it's quite satisfying when you don't have to google different terms!

alright fine i had to check my business notes when they talked about hedging and derivatives in an episode the other day because i totally forgot the difference between them

Just wait until uni, weekends don't exist! Haha...ha :-\
I still have an assignment and a half to do before Monday. I have 3 weekly assignments plus revising content plus the other assignments/work that pops up plus pretute work.
You'll never have to worry about having nothing to do :D

While I think this is weird haha, I absolutely love that you like school that much. So unbelievably awesome.

Keep that enjoyment going, Neo, and treasure it. :)

28/8/17 - Monday

I've been feeling a bit drab lately as we wait for teachers to give back trials results. Idk why, just feel a bit lost since I don't know what to focus on when I haven't got marks back yet.
Also we're getting ATAR estimates soon and I'm waiting until then to select preferences. I'm feeling lost between UNSW (goal) and Macquarie (backup) for commerce degrees. Part of me is worried about going to Macquarie because all my cousins went to UNSW. But my previous estimate was quite below the UNSW cutoff.

Idk really.  ???

Your preferences should be based on, well, PREFERENCE!!

Don't pick them based on the ATAR you may or may not get. Course you want most goes 1st. Course you want second most goes 2nd. Simple! ;D

have a break. that's important, because you can work on what you need to improve after you get feedback, because otherwise you're aimlessly studying.

put down unsw first. you never know what you'll get, and bonus points could work in your favour (unsure if there's bonus points are there for commerce?) i know i won't get into unsw, but i'm still putting it first, because who knows? even then, you can still transfer between unis :-) good luck!

Can confirm bonus points are lifesaving (although not from personal experience)

29/8/17

I got my chem and maths trials today. I'm satisfied with chem (85%), but kinda bummed out by maths (83%) since I expected something like a 90.  :-\
I also have grad photos tomorrow and look like a fucking mess.

Those are great results friend! I know it might be a bummer to not quite meet a target, but they'll jump up for HSC, no stress ;D

Will you take your grad photos with a huge amount of ATAR Notes products in the background? ;)

Also asked about how good at maths you had to be to do the science math major, which is 3U assumed.

You'd be totally fine with 2U provided you were willing to work really hard to keep up  - The only knowledge they'd actually assume would be Calculus stuff :P
