hey i did a memory ERA too, about 2 weeks ago.. should get it back soon. we are almost finished the 2nd outcome which is another ERA (i know, kill me) on research methods.. its not as indepth as the memory one but it's still boring. we haven't started learning yet.

wow that's a great result, well done!

and i'd rather do an ERA sac than an annotated poster sac which is what ours is. haaaate doing posters so much.

on my memory sac there was a question that asked something along the lines of 'what are 2 ways to increase/aid encoding in LTM' i guessed method of loci and narrative chaining because i had no idea, then i added context/state dependent cues in desperation in the last 2 minutes... :/

for future questions, am i close or totally wrong?

I would think elaborative rehearsal or any menemonic device I guess. Try to see if it is in past exam assessment reports lol because im not sure.

I'm a touch behind on this topic, so I'm not the best authority on this, but elaborative rehearsal will attach meaning to it so it can be semantically encoded, which makes it more likely to enter LTM and be retrieved successfully.

elaborative rehearsal does make sense, thanks guys. hopefully i get some marks or half marks for mnemonic devices.

though i'm pretty sure i fucked up the rest of the sac so i doubt this one question will really make a difference.

I'm loving unit 4. memory is SO interesting! I love all the speculative stuff on it, rather than solid fact like the brain. (science... ewww)
We finished our ERA SAC last week and got our marks back today, got a 17/20. I'm going to see if it's at all possible to scab a mark to get a 90%. But still. Very happy.

i got 100% for the memory ERA, and 100% for the research methods ERA... hopefully i can get 100% in the learning SAC...

may i just add that psych is crap now lol.. unit 3 was awesome but unit 4 is so boring and long (especially learning.) it just seems to go on forever.

fixed-interval schedule, fixed-ratio schedule = suicide note from me
