For Legal next year, how MUCH is the study design changing? Just a few areas or like everything? Would I still be able to refer and study from exams for this study design??
Thanks!  :)

I would guess not very much (last time it changed it hardly changed). What could they realy asses in LEGAL studies that isn't being assesed now? I can't imagine that unit 4 would change that much... or unit 3.

But that's just speculation.

Yeah this is the new study design: http://www.vcaa.vic.edu.au/vce/studies/legalstudies/legalstudiessd-2011.pdf
I just had a quick browse through the unit 3/4 section.  I couldn't find anything that was different?

I found a difference: the role of the Victorian Law Reform Commission (you have to vlrc now, don't get to chose)
Don't need to know coroner's court and childrens court (only the hierachial ones)
Don't need to know the jurisdiction of the high court!!!

Those are the only differences I could find.

That sucks. Royal Commissions and the Coroner's Court were really interesting.

I did VLRC anyway, so it's prety much the exact same thing as I did this year but with coroner and childrens court omitted. I reccon we might get a question about the coroner's court or children's court this year... Either coroner's, children's or supreme.

Coroner's has been on it before. Children's Court and Family Court haven't. So I'd put my money on one of those two.

Maybe that was just my teacher. Let me check...

Study design says:
Quote
Key knowledge
This knowledge includes
• the functions and original and appellate jurisdiction of the following courts: Magistrateʼs Court,
County Court, Supreme Court, High Court, Childrenʼs Court, Coronerʼs Court, Family Court;

So I guess it wasn't just my teacher.
