Hey I was just wondering what markas you would need to get an study score of 40 or av\bove in psychology? I think that I should get A's to A+'s for S.A.C's and think that il get A to A+'s in the exams...what do you think you need to get over 40 and do you have any advice to help?

Hmmm....
I got A+, A+, A+ and got 42.

For my SACs I was probably in the top 7-5 in ranking but we had over 70 students doing Psych so it wasn't as important to be ranked number one.
For Unit 3 I got 90/100 marks for my SACs and Unit 4 95/100. These are my school marks though and so they were moderated later.

As for the exams I'm pretty sure my Unit 4 mark was a low A+, Unit 3 was probably more mid.

Eriny's posted some very good advice here http://vcenotes.com/forum/index.php/topic,1343.0.html

Yeah, generally to get into the 40's you need to either have consistent A+'s, or at the very least, a high A and two mid-high A+'s.

It's the same for most subjects, aim for high A-A+ and you'll get 40+

How many marks did you think you dropped to get 50?

Because there are two exams for psych, you can afford to lose a couple of marks on both exams. I'd say you could lose 2-3 marks on both exams and achieve a 50.

I know I lost 2.5 in exam 1, and I think I only lost 1 mark in exam 2, although I didn't get a statement of marks for exam 2 so I don't know for sure. But yeah, as Nick said, you can possibly lose 3 marks on each exam and still get a 50.

I really want 45+ in psych...but I totally screwed up my first SAC due to silly, silly errors and got 35/40 (top mark was 39/40 across all 3 psychology classes at my school). Is the 45+ still possible?

35/40 isn't bad. Of course its still possible, it was only the first S.A.C and your only 4 marks behind first. Just do as well as you possibly can in future SACs and do well in the exam!!

If you get very high in your exams, your SAC marks get bumped up.
Focus on getting a good A+ in both exams =].
