Chances For Monash Medicine

Hello everyone
Not sure if this is the right topic for my question so mods please delete if necessary :)

Just wondering what my chances for Monash medicine are with these results
UMAT: 99
Atar: 98.35 with Monash guarantee (financial disadvantage and according to the calculator the Monash adjusted atar is 99.00-99.95)
+ a good interview (it'll be difficult but I can work hard now since I didn't for VCE really haha)

Thank you  :)

Firstly, congrats on finishing! :) I'd be surprised if you didn't get an interview, and I think with a good interview as you say, you'd stand a good chance of getting a place. That place may be CSP Bonded (which isn't too bad at all, and you should probably take it if you get it given the return of service is only 1 year now!) though :)

All the best Tiffany with interviews and offers!! With that killer UMAT, you should be in with a real good shot.

Was just wondering if my UMAT will be a problem.
99.75 ATAR
88 UMAT, but 46 in S2. I called Monash and they say this year the 50 in each UMAT section is not a hurdle requirement, rather more a guideline.
Hopefully with a pretty high scoring interview and my Atar, should that compensate for the slight problem with the UMAT? Thanks heaps

No real guidelines as such, and I am not well versed in those stats, but the requirements are said to be significantly lower.

Not sure if this is the right topic for my question so mods please delete if necessary :)

Just wondering what my chances for Monash medicine are with these results
UMAT: 99
Atar: 97.35 with Monash guarantee (financial disadvantage and according to the calculator the Monash adjusted atar is 99.00-99.95)
+ a good interview (it'll be difficult but I can work hard now since I didn't for VCE really haha)

Thank you  :)

definitely a high chance of getting in, or at the very least an interview. i know someone in my year level who got 100 percentile UMAT and 98 ATAR. so yes, you hopefully will get an interview and, provided you do well on that, will get a spot! all the best :)

hmmm yeah pretty much what pi said! one of my friends got 78 UMAT and 99.85 and got a CSP bonded spot, though that was when there was a 50 requirement. given that they've changed it, i think you'll have more of a chance. you should at least get an interview! all the best!

Thanks for the help pi!  :) :) And yeah I'd be absolutely stoked for CSP Bonded too, would just be happy to get in tbh haha :)

I know the chances are super slim - but what are the prospects of landing an interview with a 79%ile UMAT + 98.60 ATAR?
*CSP Bonded place as my first preference!

Thanks in advance!

I would say chance is low at Monash but you may have a 2nd round interview offer in other unis in Australia (like Western Sydney).  Good luck :)
