Title: How do I respond to this Visual Design question?

Hi, I hope I'm doing this right. I'm looking through my visual design essay and there's a question in there that asks "what does the plate (image of an artwork) reveal about the art making practice of the artist?" and I have NO idea what that means or how to respond to it. It's a 5 mark question. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
