Am applying for a course but missing the English eligibility criteria by 5
Is there anything I can do ( English atar)
I have got 30 but need 35
Can a stat test help

I do not think so. I think your best bet would be to join a related course with a lower criteria and then transfer later.

Doing a STAT now wouldn’t allow for enough time to process till first round offers anyway. According to the website if you do it after November it will not apply for first round offers. Not too sure about the other rounds but I imagine it would be tough on time anyway.

Are you sure about this? Most study score criteria that I've seen (mostly just monash courses) list english as a second language first, which requires a 35, followed by mainstream english which should only by 30, meaning that you qualify.

From post history, it appears OP is trying to get into Dentistry at Latrobe which requires ‘35 in any english’

Agreed. It's too late now as offers are being released so soon, so best bet would be to do Science at Monash or UoM and transfer later.

Would recommend that when VTAC preferences open again at Jan 3 (3pm) - Jan 4 (4pm) 2019, that you put a high preference (e.g. Preference #2) for something else at La Trobe e.g. Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Health Sciences, preferably the latter according to this (and do Chem as an elective), do well and transfer into Dentistry at a later date.
