Title: Unit 3 Cheat Sheets
Post by: sxcalexc on May 31, 2008, 02:57:58 pm
Hey guys, anyone got any good advice or equations/definitions to put on the cheat sheet? I'm not particularly asking that people upload anything directly from theirs but it may be handy. Thanks!

definitely put relative velocities up [they are damn confusing]

A relative to B = vector addition of -B and A

you'd be searching for three years for stuff on there!

Last year, I typed a whole bunch of stuff, then I printed them out and hand-wrote another whole bunch of stuff:

http://rapidshare.com/files/121352002/Redone_Borders_Structures.doc.html
http://rapidshare.com/files/121352000/Physics002mod.jpg.html
http://rapidshare.com/files/121351999/Physics001mod.jpg.html

The first two are the word documents, the second two are my scanned in versions that I have printed and written stuff all over. Erm... the scanned versions... I scanned them with a very high resolution scanner, and I've reduced the quality significantly so I can upload and send them, but they're still about 20mb each.

Anywayz... feel free to use them as a reference, but I strongly believe that the best cheat sheet you can use is one you've made yourself. That way, it doesn't matter how much you cram on it, you know how you've organised it, so you know where everything is. Also, it's actually got stuff on there that YOU need, not some other random. Colour-coding doesn't hurt either (like... I think I made rules black, key words red, definitions blue, and important/random stuff purple).

*Yes, I know this thread is a week old, but I thought I'd post in case these still help someone ...I didn't finish my cheat sheet for end of year until the day before the exam* :-X

Thanks for those mate. Hey im still making mine. Had i made it one week ago Id have almost every forumla and definition but now after going through checkpoints and looking over difficult questions ive managed to cut it down to a summary of relativity theories, transistor equations gravity formulas and the odd p=FV equation.

Btw, what did people put in the Structures section of their Cheat Sheet? Does anyone know a really good question that I should include?

draw all the common structures [cantelevers, bridge] that is associated with torque.
it's really helpful to know where forces are doing what
