I know right! Paradise by Coldplay got me through a lot of really hard times, and How To Save A Life made me want to help people who had been through the same thing as me after I got through it. Really emotional songs! Paradise makes me cry when I listen to it. I listened to it for the first time in years day before yesterday and the memories and emotion came flooding back! Brilliant song.

are you me? literally same, I mean How to Save a Life and Paradise both got me through tough times, and along with Mika, these songs helped during the days where living was hard

I really recommend the whole "Ocean eyes" album by owl city- Adam writes very deep songs, and yah I cry at Fireflies too and Caving in

I love their newer songs! Well personally, I have a deep adoration for Yellow, The Scientist (this got me through tough times too) but their new stuff is great I love Hypnotised btw and I wanna hear the rest already!! You have a good music taste

I totally agree with some of the songs on here, The fray and Cold play especially are powerful indeed!

For me personally one song that hit homes every time I hear it is, Enya - Only Time. Aside the fact that it's a beautiful song, the first time I ever heard it was it was when it played in the background of a 9/11 tribute. The song is extremely emotional and the effect of certain pictures being displayed have had an everlasting impression. There is a significant tonal shift from a somewhat despondent tone to an uplifting one, and the lyrics encapsulate this feeling perfectly.

The song means a lot to me know as it reminds be of family member who passed away in the incident, nonetheless I would recommend.
