Hi Cullgun,

While recommendations are great for getting in touch with tutors, my general advice is to work with someone who will enhance your existing strengths and skills, rather than someone who got a high study score and has lots of notes. It's also important that you find someone who respects your voice and can help you develop it into something that will get you the marks you want :)

That said, I run a small one-to-one English subject tutoring service where we meet students at their location to support their studies. The State Library is a little out of our normal range of suburbs (we normally operate in the Eastern suburbs) but I think some of my tutors may be keen for a different area of Melbourne. Let me know at [email protected] if you're interested. You can also check out our social media (http://www.youtube.com/TSEtuition and http://www.facebook.com/TSEtuition) for more insight into the kind of work we do.

Whether you decide to contact us or not, good luck with your studies!  ;D
