Just asking if buying second hand book will be fine for those subj that don't have mid yrs anymore. All I heard was that they cut off some topics . Any comments?

Also 50+ premiers for psycho would require what kind of A+ marks

Thanks  :)

Edit: just realised in the posting in the wrong section, pls move if required .

Yeah, getting a second hand textbook will probably be alright, since they've only taken things out of the study design and haven't added anything new

Well, for premier's you'd be looking at at about 85+/90 with a cut off of about 72

You'd probably be able to get a 50 with 82/90 on both exams with that cut off

Any resources you will recommend?
Can I still get a 50+premiers with a rank 2 sac scores?

Of course you can! Naturally, factors such as the strength of the cohort do intervene, but in my opinion, just forget about the ranking! Ace your SACs of course (try and drop only 1 mark, or try and get 100% if you can) and your ranking will naturally follow. Plus, things generally come down to the exam - the exam should be your main focus & you should have a desire to knock it over

It's great that you're aiming for the premiers - it's quite a goal actually  :) But you should also be aiming to do YOUR best, just so you don't put too much pressure on your self.

I dropped 8+7.5 (15.5) marks for a 50. No Premier's.

Whoah - amazing!

Yeah, hoping I fare well on the end of year exam to match the marks for my mid-year and then I'm set.

But the more I think about it, I feel like I lost heaps of marks on the end-of-year. If this is the case, I'm going to be pretty upset haha. I mean, I did well on the mid-year and I have a good ranking. The only thing that can drag my SS down is the end-of-year exam.

I have a strong suspicion your feeling is probably wrong, based on many other people's results for subjects in previous years who have said similar things.  :P

I don't recommend Summer School...but that's your choice.

When it comes to that time of the year for revision, head to CONNECT.

The guy running is it a BOSS. <3

Does Connect Education run any summer lecture for 2013 and are the tsfx notes good?

Are there any other companies that are good such as tssm tsfx?
What textbook do u recommend apart from Grivas psychology 3/4 ? Or 1 textbook is actually more than enough to get a great score?

I haven't been to any except Pathways u3/4 revision lecture and CONNECT.

Grivas is the best by far: read my guide for other details? :)

Just remember it's out-dated due to the new SD, but the key ideas remain the same.
