Anon’s Chemistry, Methods and Spesh tutoring

Hi everyone,

This is for a friend who is looking for 2-3 students to tutor. He has a full year of private tutoring experience as well as lecturing in schools and for a company (disclose in PM) in Chemistry, Methods and Spesh. He received a perfect study score of 50 in Chemistry as well as a Premiers Award and raw scores of 49 in both Spesh (scaled to 54.7) and Methods (scaled to 51.2). He attained an ATAR of 99.95 and an aggregate of 216.8 (also received an Australian Students Prize and Top All-round VCE High Achievers Award). In addition, he has been awarded prizes in various Mathematics and Chemistry competitions throughout his later years of high school. His other achievements include:

• Awarded a gold medal in the National Qualifying Exams for Chemistry Olympiads. Also attended the Chemistry Summer School.
• Placed in the top 50 students (Bronze Award)  in Australia and New Zealand in the Australian Maths Olympiads
• Awarded an Outstanding Achievement Award (placed amongst the top 10 students) three times in the senior and intermediate divisions of the Melbourne Uni Maths Competition. Was also awarded a prize for 2nd place once.

In addition to his academic results and prizes, he possesses top-notch communication skills as he was awarded full-colours in Debating and Theatre during his final year of high school. He has also lectured at schools and for a company. I can personally vouch for his ability to explain the most complex concepts in the course in a conceptual and succinct manner. Given his amazing competition results, he can also show you how to approach maths problems in a myriad of ways as well as applying chemical theory to Exam and SAC-style Questions, improving your critical thinking and problem solving skills. His VCE study scores ensures that he knows the type of answers examiners are looking for as well as ways to approach exams.  He is also really nice, extremely modest, flexible, patient and will answer any questions promptly (in lessons - he can provide a reasonable amount of extra time for no charge if a concept needs to be clarified or for any questions, and through email/text even during his uni exam period). He is able to empathise with students of various abilities and has a genuine passion for helping students (he is not there simply to make money off you). He also knows a lot about other things like VCE life, having balanced excess subjects (seven subjects) with a multitude of extra-curricular commitments (was awarded full school colours in four extra-curricular areas), studying efficiently (studied for like 2-3 hours a night and barely did non-VCAA practice exams), so he can talk about anything you want as well as help you with other subjects he has completed (all 45+ raw).

He usually tutors at State Library and charges $40 per hour (which can be negotiated). For contact deets and other details, chuck me a PM!

Merry Christmas

Cheers! :D
