hey everyone !! ;D

i personally love reading these, so i thought - what better way to procrastinate studying than to start a journal? im currently in year eleven, although thatll soon change. at my school, year 12 technically starts the last week of november - yay. but what about me right now? im currently studying:
- biology 3/4
- english 1/2
- methods 1/2
- chem 1/2
- global empires 1/2
- 20th cent history
my year 12 subjects? yet to be determined (thanks school admins).

today - the 26th of october.
the 3/4 bio exam is in 6 days (f***). i should have studied more, but alas, here we are. dont get me wrong- im still studying - but nowhere near as much as others. am i stressed? absolutely. am i ready to admit defeat? 100% will i give up? yet to be determined. but here i am - not studying - again.

admittedly, this first post is a /little/ rushed, but doesnt that just scream 'thanks vcaa'?

well, ill probably update this soon (but not before the bio exam lol)

i wish you all luck on your exams  !! kick vcaa's butt !! ;D

Hey! :)

I wouldn't rely on your perceptions of how much work others are doing - there's so many students studying bio you'd have to be really lucky to get perspectives from a representative sample. I hope you're pleasantly surprised with your results & that you're taking care of your wellbeing in this stressful time. Good luck!!

It looks like you've picked such a cool selection of subjects! I'll definitely be following along your VCE journey. What's global empires like?

Good luck with the bio exam!!

So uh hey, its been awhile..
thank you for the comments on my last post, and im sorry for not replying haha !

in regards to bio:
i made some mistakes. i didnt start studying until about 2 weeks before the exam (bad idea, i know). I managed to cram about 15 exams into those two weeks, alongside some light flashcards/basic reading.
was it a dumb idea? absolutely. However, i have learnt my lesson and shall prepare myself better next year (thats what year 11 is all about !!)
Anyh0w, the results came back today. I got my email 15 minutes early and couldnt bare to look at it. When i plucked up the courage to actually read it, i found out i got an A+ on the exam (insane !!!) and managed to scrape a raw 40 !!!
i know to many a 40 isnt all that great. but i go to a pretty average school, where the 40+ scores are rare. so im pretty proud :')

On that note, i would just like to thank the AtarNotes community. I came here so many times looking for advice, pity, pick-me-ups among many others haha . but you guys were always able to help me. thank you so much !!

Congratulations! A 40 is still a very impressive score; totally deserved! It sounds like you've learnt a lot that you can apply to your studies next year. Have a fantastic summer!
