As many as you want, you just gotta convince people to let you do them. There's nothing stopping you from doing every VCE subject, really

Can a school force you to do a subject you do not want to do, except for English?

AFAIK, VCAA doesn't have anything on your rights as a student re: subject selection, so tbh... Yeah, they kinda can

Like, as a part of going to school, you agree to their terms. That's just kinda how it is - you can fight, and kick, and scream, and shout, and all that jazz. But like, if you don't want to do VCE the way they prescribe, your only real option is to argue with people who probably won't change their minds, or leave

From my experience, yes. And the school can also stop you from picking certain subjects too. For example, in my school, everyone was forced to do Methods 1/2 and only very very few people were allowed to do Further 3/4 in year 12 regardless as to whether you wanted to pick up the subject. Pretty much it was ultimately up to the teacher's discretion. That being said you could probably get VCAA involved if your school forces you to do something and they might help you out.
