Getting VCE results at the end of the year

Hey everyone! I was just reading http://www.vcaa.vic.edu.au/Pages/vce_results.aspx and saw this: "The internet service is free and available 24 hours a day from 7.00 am Monday 12 December until 5.00 pm Friday 16 December."

So would that mean we can't log in and see our results after 16th December? I won't have the Internet from 12th December to 16th December and I'm not allowed to apply to get the results via SMS. What do I do?  :-\

In addition to the mail, I'm fairly sure you can see your results by signing into VTAC - just not the 'ATAR and VCE Results' website after the 16th.

You should get a letter in the mail (assuming that the address the powers that be have are correct). Alternatively, you could check on the resultsandatar page that opens up on the 12th though don't log on at exactly 7am and start refreshing like a lunatic because the page gets flooded with students and there's always a huge delay. If you're using the internet service though, keep your placecard from your exam cos you'll need your student number assuming you haven't already gotten in written down/memorised/whatever. Or you could just call up your VCE coordinator/teacher and be like "heeeeeyyyyyy, how'd I go?"

Who are the powers that be in this situation? As in, will the letter be sent to the address registered to my VTAC account? Or will my school provide somebody with an address? Just curious because I've recently moved houses, so I've updated the address on my VTAC account but haven't bothered to notify my school (since I've finished now and I'm not expecting any mail from them).

I'm not really sure but it won't be VTAC because those who aren't in Year 12/graduating also get their results in the mail. I'd contact your school.

I don't know, but I'd imagine so. I was in Vietnam when I was sent my first 3/4 result (Year 11); I just put in my overseas phone number. As I say, I'm not 100% sure, but I don't see why you couldn't logon to VTAC or whatever overseas, assuming you have an internet connection.

Others?

Can confirm. I got my results texted to my Australian number while in Germany and still received it without worries.

Same thing with the website. There's no country lock.

Just wanted to drop this here in case some of you aren't aware:

Quote
New: ATAR available from VTAC CourseSearch app

We are pleased to announce a new option for Year 12 students to receive their ATAR and scaled study scores this year: via the VTAC CourseSearch app. An update to the app will allow students to enter their VTAC ID and PIN to access their 2016 ATAR and contributing scaled scores.

This service will be available free of charge to all users of the app who have a VTAC account. Students who don’t already have the app can download it from Google Play or the Apple App Store for $1.49 (inc. GST). The updated version will be released in November, with existing users able to update free of charge. We will post more detailed instructions for using the app to access the ATAR after the update is released.

Existing options for accessing VCE Results and the ATAR (via web, SMS, and printed ATAR statements for paid VTAC applicants) will be available in addition to delivery of ATAR via the VTAC CourseSearch app.

This might be an option for any of you who are unsure/don't want to access results from your mobile/internet. :)
