Prerequsites for Uni Extension Program?

Hi all.

Regarding the Monash Uni extension program, are the perquisite 3/4 VCE subjects meant to be taken in Year 11 in order to be eligible, or are they referring to taking the subjects in Year 12.
I have attached the screenshot of what I am referring to below.

Thanks in advance.

Hi there

The key part is what you have highlighted in yellow. You have two options for studying this subject: either...

1) You have completed (any) unit 3/4 mathematics unit in the previous year (= pre-requisite) prior to undertaking this subject. Presumably there is a minimum study score needed, and/or recommendation from the school.

Timeline example:
2016: completed mathematical methods units 3/4 with study score of 25
2017: Take on this university subject

2) You are studying the specified unit at the same time as the specified mathematics subject. (= concurrent)

Timeline example:
2017: Study mathematical methods 3/4 alongside this university subject (in the same study period/year)

Hope this helps!

Hi Scanz_,

Auralee has explained it correctly.  8) You will need to either be studying the subject in VCE Unit 3 and 4 or have completed the equivalent VCE subject if you wish to study it through Monash Extension. Please contact the Monash Extension team by sending an email to: [email protected] should you have any further questions.
