Yep that's what I got, as only in ETC is oxygen used up so you need a mitochondrion present to have any effect on the O2 concentration.

I got that too.

BIO IS DONE- i swear my whole cohort felt fked after it, but and my mate literally studied a little bit, and everything that we studied was on there -> god bless!

BIO IS DONNEEEEE  ;D ;D
honestly, bio will be missed, it was my fave subject of the year
how's everyone feeling?
Also, for the "design an experiment" question, are multiple types of answers suitable as long as its logical and would actually test the hypothesis?

Did not like that exam at all :( it marks awarded for each question felt kinda weird, I think the pressure got to me a bit. How would u guys compare it to last years exam?

As for particular questions:
1. The question about long living cells in immunity or something was it just memory B cells for one of them and memory T cells for the other?
2. The W molecule??? wtf were you meant to write? I described transcription but have no idea because it was only worth 2 marks
3. I wrote during apoptosis the organelles go into vesicles when they are broken up, but they break into membrane bound organelles - would this be wrong?
4. Anyone find the natural selection/speciation questions kinda hard? especially 4 marks for natural selection and 2 marks for allopatric speciation?
Can't think of any other question at the moment, but felt it was pretty difficult overall compared to previous years, but still doable (although I think i didnt' do as well as I would have hoped) :(

The thing about comparing years is that once the exam has been done teachers and tutors begin to target those areas in their teaching therefore making the older exams seem easier than they would've been for the students who sat it in that year.

I didn't find the exam too bad, it was pretty fair and covered most concepts well - I'd probably rank them 2015, 2013, 2016 and 2014 from hardest to easiest

I'm a bit peeved that it didn't involve much recall at all. I like application, but it seemed excessive. I did find it fairly easy though, hope I did well.

I just realised that I accidentally wrote that glucose won't cause a change in oxygen concentration with cytosol+mitochondria, bahhhhhhh, I didn't pay attention.
