Bottom subjects

Can someone please explain how the bottom 2 subjects that you have completed is only 10% of your Atar score ??
I'm a bit confused

I'm a bit confused
lets say you did 6 subjects and you got 40 for all of them. 4 subjects will be counted as 40 and the other 2 will be counted as 4 each. your aggregate score will be 168 which will be converted to a Atar score.
