Can't be bothered finding/bumping the old one, so made a new one.

Recently watched The Hobbit, Django Unchained, and Les Mis.

Just WOW.

Can't remember having three great movies coming out in the same summer, each brilliant in their own way.

Anyone else nearly brought to tears in Les Miserables?

Opinions on the others or opinions on any other movie?

:)

Didn't really get me as much as some people, but I enjoyed it.

BUT how good was Django Unchained!?

The Hobbit was alright too, I'm kind of glad it's three long movies...

Anyone seen District 9?

Les Miserables: Yep, I was brought to tears. Great movie, except I wish I had seen it in the cinema. Sometimes it felt like it just dragged on and on.

What kind of film genre is your favourite?

I actually havent watched les Mis yet (dont hit me),but i intend on watching it when the influx of sacs dies down haha! Anne Hathaway is amazing, so its on my to watch list for sure. Have you guys watched Hansel and Gretel? is it good, or just as mediocre as the other disappointing fairytale parodies?

Agreed, Django was amazing. In fact, every Tarantino movie is noteworthy. The dialogue of his films is never boring, also the soundtracks are awesome.

Anyone seen Anna Karenina? Also, I keep seeing all this promotional stuff for Spring Breakers, I think its coming out soon. personally i think it looks like a bunch of trashy bullish*t

How can people say that Django was amazing?
It was just some random killing of people against the backdrop of a social-political problem.

I mean, aside from the fact that it was a well-acted, well-written, well-directed western, it was also very Tarantino-esque.

People should know that when they go in to see a Tarantino film, there's going to be a large body count (i.e. Kill Bill, Inglourious Basterd, Pulp Fiction, everything else).

I've been watching some of the movies that won at the academy awards.
I watched Argo (Best Picture) and Silver Linings Playbook (Best Actress - Jennifer Lawrence) recently and I have to say both are pretty good movies. I preferred silver linings playbook over argo. Argo was good but I just couldn't see why it was so amazing that it won best picture.

Has anyone seen the movie Life Of Pi?
It was incredible.. the story was amazing, really, I could not stop watching the trailer even after I watched the film. It was probably my favourite movie of all time, although I only watch like two films a year. I'm not into films much, at all, but this movie I couldnt not see.

Also, I struggle to understand why people enjoy Les Miserables. I "legally" downloaded it and watched for 30 minutes Nd I was bored out of my brains. Is it because of the movie, or is it the cast that really attract people?
