What types of cases are heard in the:
- Supreme Court ?
- County Court ?
- Magistrates' Court ?

I've noticed sometimes they ask us to identify where a case will be likely be heard.

Criminal and Civil

•Criminal Jurisdiction: Magistrates Court- Summary offences. Does not hear indictable offence unless heard summarily
Supreme Court- Hears the most serious indictable offences
County court- Almost all summary and indictable offences , except murder and attempted murder and treason.
•Civil dispute:
Magistrate: Up to $100,000 for all civil matter.
County court: Unlimited
Supreme court: unlimited however for court of appeal no original jurisdiction

To correct you, all summary offences are heard in the Magistrates' Court and never in the County Court unless appealed.

I also suggest including that the Magistrates' Court hears Committal Hearings and Bail hearings.
