okokok, so I really want to do an extension program for japanese next year but my grades for methods hasn't been the best
It's really inconsistent cos I have 2 As and 2 Cs and after my exam (which went really really horrible) I think my overall average for methods will be a C for my report.
oh, and for one of my tests for chem I got a D but ALLL my other results for it are quite high.
IS IT STILL POSSSSIBLLLEEE????? omgosssshh
I completed Japanese in yr 10 and got 40 for it but my methods results are the biggest joke ;__;

I think different schools have a different policy for this. It's best to ask your teacher or vce coordinator for the most accurate information that applies to you ;)

I think min is referring to the grades that a university asks for to get into enhancement.

Honestly - don't stress about it. If you continue to stress, it'll show up in your grades and you'll just do worse and worse. Over 40 = top 8% of the state, and in Jap SL, that's no laughing matter. You do have some good grades going on there, so I wouldn't be stressed there. And at the end of the day, if you apply, the worst they can do is knock you back. It's not like the world will implode or anything. :P

Here's the question, though - you go to JMSS, you sure you want to do Jap extension? You could do any number of extension studies at Monash and it'd be a hell of a lot easier. You sure you want to have to travel all the way to Melbourne to do this instead of waiting a year to do Japanese?

If i remember correctly its like a B+ average across ALL your subjects.
So like even if you gets Cs in methods if you can balance it out with As and A+s in your other subjects you will be fine :)
One of my friends got in with a B average as well.
They look at the report grades not any tests.
I also don't believe Uom is particularly strict on the acceptance into the program.
The 40 is more than enough for the program.
Hope this helps :)

What percentage does B+ correspond to?

ooOo0o, so it turns out my given overall average for methods is a B ;__; (Tests: C+, Exam: C+, Investigations:A, Workbook: A+) - luckily they gave an average for all my tests for chem so my D only dragged the 'tests' average down to a B+ for chem, BUT MY REPORRT STILL SHOWS 2 C+S, my feeelz hahaha
all my other grades are fine but im still worried cos i thought you had to average a B+? and my avergae for methods is a B
yeah the main reason to why im sorta willing to travel all the way to melb uni is so that i can do jap cos i know i wont have to put the same amount of effort into it as my other vce subjectss (ill be able to focus/have more tome on my actual vce subjects, im doing all my weakest subjects
in year 12) which is why i want the extension kinda badly ;__;
