Yep - as long as its one bound reference. Bound meaning you can't have things sticking out of it, loose sheets etc.

With that in mind - I would say bringing in a textbook with your markings is fine (definitely wouldn't recommend it though - I did that and it was chaotic). You don't have that much time in each of the Further exams so you often need to know where to look to solve a particular problem.

Some more information to look at: http://www.vcaa.vic.edu.au/Pages/vce/exams/authorisedmaterials.aspx#bound

Thanks Aaron :) but do you think I have enough time to make one? I mean there is so much things we need to know , I am scared if I miss out on putting something important :/

That's something you have to consider as well. Usually alot of students in Further develop their bound reference over the year as they learn the content so they have less work come exam time. Because there's 90 minutes to do each exam - you might think this is a lot of time, but it really isn't. Time in exams goes really quick. I guess if you're going to bring the textbook in - use your reading time to make a mental note of the pages you'll need to go to (since you can't use page markers or anything).

My personal issue with textbook use is that they are so bulky and lengthy - so trying to flick backwards and forwards to the pages that you needed to find for a particular question was quite a challenge. Like I said, 90 minutes goes very quick. This is why you need to do practice exams (particularly ones from VCAA) because they give you an indication of what to expect.

Guess you need to weigh up what's best for you - take in the textbook and risk wasting precious time vs. doing your own notes and potentially missing a key concept.

Not sure how much the study design has changed so please take with a grain of salt :P
I brought my textbook in for the exams as well, but instead of making notes throughout the pages, I stuck in a little cheat sheet at the back with all the common formulas I needed for each module, and on the front cover I stuck a sheet of some theory/definitions and common errors I made in practice exams. I only had to refer to the back cover most of the times, and I think I just checked through a few pages for specific definitions of networks stuff in the actual exam.
TBH I don't think it would be worth making a new bound reference with only a few weeks to go before the exam - it takes a fair bit of time to make and practice exams are a far better tool for revision IMO. I gave up with my own bound reference halfway through bivariate data so having a textbook with all the info was pretty reassuring haha;; 8)
Good luck!

That's allowed. What I would do is the pages in your textbook for each chapter that you think is unnecessary, have a page slightly smaller than size of your textbook and just stick it on your book. Don't just stick it lightly though, get stick tape and tape rows on your paper to the book. Kind of laminating it, I guess.
