Melbourne or Monash?

My first preference at the moment is BCom at UoM, however I live on the Mornington Peninsula so I'm looking at close to 1.5 hours of travel time each way. A BCom is always available at Monash Clayton, which is only ~30 minute drive away.
Other options at Monash are: BCom/BEco and BCom/LLB (little short on clearly in), which would both be useful degrees.

Yet, I have read and heard so much about the tireless Melbourne v Monash commerce debate, and am in two minds about Melbourne's "prestige" and "reputation" really contributing anything tangible to my employability after graduating.

So, will I be placed at any significant disadvantage graduating from Monash rather than Melbourne if I am aiming to work with a large IB or big four bank.

Any help/suggestions/opinions would be great.

Take the shorter option (monash). And this is coming from a melbourne guy.

There is no tangible advantage to the melbourne brand; especially when compared to monash. Your grades and your ecs are an overwhelming determinant on your graduate employment outcomes.
