Hi, im confuzed about Non-state actors. Are IGO and Ngo's types of non- state actor? ty

IGO's are 'intergovernmental organisations'. They are sometimes called institutes of global governance, as they are in essence designed to regulate state behaviour. These are organisations such as The UN, WTO, IMF, etc. NGO's and non-state actors, however, are the same thing. These are non-governmental organisations. There is a whole variety of NSA/NGO's - terrorist organisations, organised crime syndicates, human rights, environmental organisations and so on.

Let me know if you're still confused! :-) To answer your question in summary - NGO; another name for a non-state actor. IGO's - typically groups of states entered into some form of an agreement; not the same thing as a NGO/NSA.
