MX2 is checked off the list!! What did you guys think?

Was it hard, super hard, or like being Julius Caesar in a room full of romans?

PLEASE don't write the exam questions here - they are under security until week 5 for illness and misadventure students.

CONFESSION TIME:

PRETTY SURE I FAILED,
BUT I WAS HONESTLY LAUGHING THE WHOLE TIME.

*flips page open*
"LOL Nope..."

*flips to next page*
"LMAO double nope.."

This was..the sassiest exam I've ever done.

And by sassy I mean me.

Let me elaborate.

So some question said "prove that blah blah"

I wrote:
"I ACTUALLY DON'T KNOW"
And drew a HUGE-ass smiley face on the sheet of paper
I then put an arrow next to the smiley face and wrote:
"Do you see the pain behind this smile?"

HAHAHAAHA

Some other question said "Deduce...blah blah"
And I was soooo beyond the point of actually CARING,
that I wrote: "No, thanks..."

Part b) of that question said "Hence...blah"
And I wrote "ditto"

SO THAT, my friends, is my Ext. 2 maths trials experience. :DDDD
Pretty screwed....but also not. (Coz I'm the only one in the class, and by default, am 1st place...)

BUT LESSON OF THE STORY.
I survived. I'm alive-ish

Gonna chug a cup of coffee, and then study for CHEMISTRY TOMORROW YAAAAAAAAAAAAY *insert extreme sarcasm here*

Hope you enjoyed story-time with yours truly <3

Tbh, really interested in the questions but better not whilst the security period is still active.

I'm at catholic school, but our teacher's writing his own paper and we do it Monday.
So, if any kind soul wants to share things they didn't know // wish they'd known before this bad boy I would appreciate it a lot

Everything ;D

Your teacher won't take anything from the CSSA, so even if people could share, it won't help you ;D has he given you any past papers written by him? They are your best best ;D

what kind of a raw mark in this exam would you need for a 90+ HSC mark approx?

I haven't seen the paper yet.

In general, according to the raw marks database a mark of 75+ guarantees band E4. Of course, every year the paper's difficulty changes.

What do people think of the difficulty of the exam now given that it's past the security period?
I got a mark of 64, which isn't very good, except the teacher did edit the paper to take out things we hadn't done in class yet.

64 raw still aligns to a solid E3 in the final exam. MX2 alignment is actually amazing.

I still haven't seen the paper though. A certain Happy Physics Land forgot to bring it to me when he was supposed to

I heard it was easier than last years paper. Does ranking still affect 4u as much as other subject since all of the marks are scaled so highly?

Doesn't mean anything once moderation kicks in. All that matters is what you ranked throughout the year and your relative mark differences.

The 4u final exam's difficulty may play a part though.

I'm currently ranked 2nd (out of 3), but I'm quite far behind the person coming 1st. Will this pull my mark down a lot?
