Monash Engineering - Single or Double w\ Science

With under an hour to go, I thought I might ask the following:
Engineering by itself or a double with Science?

-Benefits of a Double vs Single
-Would I experience an overlap as they are rather similar
-Is an Eng/Sci combination pointless?
-Anything I should know?

At this stage, I'm leaning towards the Double, and have got that as my first. I'm most likely going to stick with it, but simply am wanting to see how it stands in comparison to the sole Engineering degree.

Thanks!
The GOAL: Attain a RAW study score of 40+ in all my subjects.

Courses I would like to study in order of preference include: Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Bachelor of Biomedicine or Bachelor of Science.

2014: Biology [42]
2015: English Language [??] | Chemistry [??] | Physics [??] | Mathematical Methods (CAS) [??] | Specialist Mathematics [??]

The science degree would open your horizons to Graduate programs that have prerequisites such as Dentistry, or Medicine. You would have to major in that field though.
2015: VCE
2016: BCivEng(Hons)/BCom at MU

Feel free to PM me for your engineering queries

Just do the double and later drop science if you don't like it!
