Hey friends,
I don't wanna be the type that causes everyone a great deal of stress when i say that there is only... LESS THAN ONE MONTH till year 12 exams but i honestly want to know if I'm the only one who is feeling as though they are still under-prepared, terrified, and doubtful as to whether they can achieve their goals??? (i.e. for me an ATAR of 85+)
If there are some of you that have already been in my shoes, please give me some advice as to how to handle it all and how to ensure i can achieve that dream ATAR of mine as well getting an offer from my dream course! & revising for all my subjects is so overwhelming, there's soooo much to get through!

thanks guys.
Happy studying
just try your best. Year 12 is seriously the most overhyped and inconsequential year of your life (but still important.)

Tip: even the students who probably get 99.95 don't feel 100% ready to full Mark the exams they're about to do.

Youve done exams before and got results back before- nothings changed!

Your atar lasts like 2 years anyways, and it's a big social taboo to talk about in uni so chilll !

I dont think anyone feels fully ready, but you just gotta study and hope for the best. Almost done! Be happy you've made it to year 12 and nearly finished it ! :)

Been very busy studying but took a bit of a mental health day today - some shopping and went out for cake and coffee. Planning to get back into the study again tomorrow though, but with a friend so it should be alright. Did some planning tonight for after when school finishes - planning on doing some travel around Australia which is exciting (I've never been outside Victoria :-\)

What about you? :)

I had two wisdom teeth pulled today, ~1 minute for the left side, ~40 minutes for the right side, ~50 minutes of them searching for the tiny drill head that broke off in my mouth.

They did an xray and it is somewhere in my gum.

They couldn't find it.  :'(

Oh man that's awful :/ Hopefully it makes its own way out or it can be found... fingers crossed for you!
I refuse to have my wisdom teeth out unless they become a problem haha

So the funny thing is, I don't have a structured plan for how/what I'm studying day to day, yet I can give you specific details about stuff I've planned to do after school finishes :P Excited to go overseas in the new year :D
Getting more nervous as I look at my countdown to exams...but in the same respect I'm excited for it to be over. It's creeping up super fast!

hey guys, 2015 graduate checking in here  :)

just wanted to say that you guys have worked so hard up to this point, and you've only got a few more weeks to go, so hopefully you can push just as hard for the final leg of the race (bad analogy lol) :) you may be really stressed, but just remember to remain calm and support eachother/your friends. don't worry about past sac scores or anything, but just look ahead. not long to go now, so don't give up :)
and even if you don't do as well as you wanted to, it's still okay knowing you gave it your best shot :)

good luck :D

Hey Guys,

I really feel disheartened that I haven't taken advantage of these holidays  :( (haven't revised content or started exam papers).
I just feel really overwhelmed, and I was wondering how and where do I begin? and is it too late? Any exam revision tips Chem, Further, Bio, Global Politics and English?  ???

Just start now, jump right into practice exams. Open book if you have to; you don't really have time for textbook questions any more. If you run into anything you don't know, highlight the question and look up the relevant content. It's a swing or a miss for most people, but consider setting up a study timetable or a todo list, or just a daily quota of exams/study. Don't skip any sleep to study, but don't go overboard and sleep 14 hours either. Take lots of breaks, get your exercise, etc. As for feeling overwhelmed, starting is probably a good way to lessen that a bit. 110% recommend having a chat with your teachers, they'll be able to give you specific advice and point you in the right direction for extra help if you need it.

It's only too late after the actual exam's started, you have plenty of time. ::)

has anyone ever tried something called 'rescure remedy'? seems cool- might defs make me chill out!

Heyy although Pi has said there is no evidence that it has effect beyond a placebo... I keep a tin full of them on my desk and they work wonders (who says placebo effect is a bad thing....?). For example, last night I was stressed OUT OF MY MIND about exams, chewed on a few of em, felt pretty chilled and fell asleep. Strong placebo effect = ftw?

It'll feel even more weird once you finish your final exam.
