Hey everyone,
Quick question: I enrolled in ANAT20006 for Sem 1, but I'm considering pushing it pack to 3rd year because I'm doing it as a med prereq and probably don't intend to major in HSF (more likely biochem). If I withdraw from the subject, does it affect how my application will be assessed for future quota intake?

Also, are there any potential issues which could arise from taking anatomy and physiology in 3rd year instead of 2nd year?

I'm not sure how or if it will effect future quota intake but I've withdrawn from quota subjects after being accepted and have had no problems being accepted in other quota subjects after.

The only downsides I can think of by doing it in third year, is that you would be limiting your elective subject choices. Also keep in mind you need to do at least 6 level three subjects in your degree

Yeah me too, I'm pretty sure it's just overloaded with too many attempts at creating an account (since it's the first day)

Hey everyone,
I was stupid enough to not realise that BCMB20005 Techniques in Molecular Science was a quota subject :'(, and hence need to wait for round 2 in late Jan/early Feb.

From the MDHS quota information, for BCMB20005 there is a guaranteed place for anyone with above H2A in Chemistry. I'm guessing this applies to Round 2, but can anyone confirm?

Has anyone done a language before (especially Japanese)? I am thinking about doing it for my breadth but I am concerned about the difficulty and workload.

Does it matter when I accept my offer (as long as it is before the deadline)? I'm away atm so a bit difficult. I don't want to miss out on any classes or face any timetable issues etc

Hey guys!
anyone doing commerce this year? I don't know anyone :(

Also, how  do we fulfill the 87.5 points for level 1 commerce subjects?
I can't seem to find level 1 Commerce electives in the major/electives section
does this also mean that i will be completing a level 1 subject if i do 2 breadths in the first year?

thanks

Linear Algebra is a godawful subject - useless lecturer, unhelpful, mistake-riddled notes, assignments and questions that don't relate to the course material. Didn't think it would be this bad LOL

Yeah I have heard that Linear Algebra is a bit worse in the summer. Don't think the normal semesters are as bad though.

Hi everyone,

I've enrolled in my subjects and when I log into my unimelb account and check my financial support page, the scholarship that I was offered and accepted is not showing up. Does anyone know when the scholarship is meant to appear on the site or whether there's something wrong?

Thanks!
